September 1, 2011 -Chris Womack Named Assistant Offensive Coordinator
The Vipers coaching staff is excited to announce Quarterback Chris Womack will have a duel role as player and assistant coach.  His experience in fast paced spread offenses will give our offense a lot of flexibility in play calling and he will help with the offensive scheme development.

September 7, 2011 - Helmet Decals and Work Out Gear Have Arrived
The Vipers helmet decals and the dry-fit work out gear have arrived and are now available to all players that have signed and paid their full league fee and the minimum team fee.  Hurry and get your set before the training camp begins on Sept. 24th.  Sizes in stock are medium to X large.  We will be ordering larger sizes for our valued linemen once we know the sizes they need.

September 13, 2011 - Martez Brayboy Named Assistant Defensive Coordinator
The Vipers coaching staff is excited to announce Defensive Back Martez Brayboy will have a duel role as player and assistant coach.  Martez will bring is years of playing experience for several college programs, to help mentor our younger players.  His experience in various types defenses will give our defensive coordinator a lot of flexibility in play calling and he will help with the defensive scheme development. 

September 13, 2011 - EQUIPMENT RENTAL PROGRAM
In a new effort to help all players that want to join our team, but have economic barriers due to the high cost of new equipment, The team ownership has purchased a limited quantity of used high quality shoulder pads, new practice pants, pads and Jerseys that can be rented for the season at far less than buying your own.  At this time, the quantity is limited and could be expanded as needed.  Contact the coaching staff for more details.

October 29, 2011 - First contact practice and helmet sale
The first contact practice of the season started today, all players that attended were excited to finally start playing real football!  All but one of the helmets were sold at the reduced price.  If you still need equipment now is the time to contact Coach Womack and get rentals or purchase your gear.  Interested players are calling almost every day so don't delay and get signed up and fees paid!   Full contact league scrimmages start the second week in November so stop waiting and JOIN US TODAY!

September 4, 2011 - Vipers sign Kicker Sam Boultwood (19)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of S.C.C. Soccer Defender and Team Captain Sam Boultwood from Bracknell, England as Viper's Kicker. Sam can easily kick 50+ yard field goals and is eager to bring his Soccer skills to the challenge of American Football.

September 4, 2011 - Vipers sign Quarterback Chris Womack (10)
The Vipers coaching staff is excited to announce the signing of former AzFL Cave Creek Dragons Quarterback Chris Womack of Tempe, AZ. Chris will bring years of high school and collegiate playing experience including All Region QB for Thunderbird High School, Cal Lutheran University, and ASU walk-on.  As an 11 game starter, he helped lead the 2011 Dragons to their first playoff game in team history.  He is excited to bring that level of play to the Vipers and make a run for the championship.  Chris will have a duel role as player and Assistant Offensive Coordinator.

September 4, 2011 - Vipers sign Running Back Ross Robertson (23)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Palo Verde Valley High School Running Back Ross Robertson from Blythe, California.  Ross is a talented running back who Varsity Lettered in High School Football, Track and Basketball.  Ross is continuing his dream of being recruited to a college program and will add depth and speed to our running game.

September 4, 2011 - Vipers sign Cornerback / Wide Receiver Anthony Shinault (2)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Oregon Blackhawks Cornerback Anthony Shinault from Blythe, California.  Anthony was a First Team All Region Defensive Back at Palo Verde Valley High School and a walk-on spring ball candidate at Oregon University.  Anthony played two seasons with the minor league Blackhawks football team and will bring speed and play making ability on both sides of the ball.

September 6, 2011 - Vipers sign Running Back Brian Stevens (25)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Paradise Valley and Cortez High Running Back Brian Stevens of Paradise Valley, AZ.  Brian served in the Army after attending Cortez High and played Minor League Football in the Army League.  Brian will also add depth and speed to Special Teams kick returns.

September 9, 2011 - Vipers sign Defensive and Offensive Tackle Bobby White (75)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Sierra Vista Cavaliers Defensive and Offensive Lineman Bobby White of Mesa, AZ.  Bobby played high school football at Buena High in Sierra Vista, AZ.  He will bring size and experience to the line, and will be a great asset in protecting our QBs and creating havoc for our opponent's running game.  Bobby played AZFL football several seasons with the Sierra Vista Cavaliers.

September 9, 2011 - Vipers sign Defensive End Jeff Grynkewich (52)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Tucson Demons defensive and special teams player Jeff Grynkewich of Phoenix, AZ.  Jeff has played several seasons with the AZFL Tucson Demons.  Jeff recently moved to Phoenix to attend Law School and wants to continue his passion for playing football.  Jeff has played multiple positions on defense and will give us depth and experience on special teams also.

September 13, 2011 - Vipers sign Defensive Back Martez Brayboy (21)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Eastern Oregon University Defensive Back Martez Brayboy of Scottsdale, AZ.   Martez will bring is years of playing experience for several college programs such as College of the Siskiyous, and Eastern Oregon University to the Vipers program.  His speed and ability to make big plays on defense will be the cornerstone of our defensive backfield.  Martez  will have a duel role as player and Assistant Defensive Coordinator.

September 20, 2011 - Vipers sign Wide Receiver / Defensive Back James Allison (1)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former LCFL Palm Desert Valley Nights Linebacker James Allison from Blythe, California.  James played High School ball at Palo Verde Valley High School and played two seasons with the minor league Nights football team.  James will add great size, speed and experience to our offensive and defensive backfields.  We look forward to the positive impact that James will  have on our high tempo offense!

September 28, 2011 - Vipers sign Tight End / Defensive End Askia Muhammad (64)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Maryvale High Tight End Askia Muhammad of Tempe, AZ.  Askia brings great size along with speed and catching ability to our quick strike offensive, and will be a noticeable part of our defensive line. 

September 28, 2011 - Vipers sign Wide Receiver / Defensive Back Devin Duncan (3)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Westview High Wide Receiver Devin Duncan of Phoenix, AZ.  Devin has many years of football experience and will provide depth to our offensive  as Wide Receiver. Devin will also utilize his skills on our special teams units.

October 11, 2011 - Vipers sign Running Back Byron Scott (32)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former Palo Verde Valley High School Running Back Byron Scott from Blythe, California.  Byron is a multi talented  running back who can provide depth at either back position and the defensive line.  Byron will also use his speed and skills on our special teams units including kick returns.  Byron wants to showcase his talents in hopes of playing football at the next level.

October 13, 2011 - Vipers sign Wide Receiver Ken Johnson (83)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of former AzFL Tempe Predators Wide Receiver Ken Johnson of Tempe, AZ.  Ken played high school ball at both Alhambra and North High Schools, and has four seasons playing experience in the AzFL.  A talented wide receiver, Ken is excited to bring his skill and experience to the Vipers program to help in our quest for a championship season

October 21, 2011 - Vipers sign Running Back / Defensive Back James (Jay) Earley (20)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of Running Back Jay Earley of Avondale, AZ.  Jay played high school ball at Agua Fria High School, and played college ball at Glendale Community.  Jay is experienced on both Offensive and Defensive back fields and will provide speed and depth to our special teams units.  We expect Jay to make some big plays for us this season!

October 25, 2011 - Vipers sign Running Back / Defensive Back Dennis Lewis (33)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of Lineman Dennis Lewis of  Phoenix, AZ.  Dennis played high school ball at Buena High in Sierra Vista, AZ and is excited about his first season in the AzFL.  Dennis has the size, weight and speed to be a playmaker on offensive and defense line and backfields, and will also work on special teams.

October 26, 2011 - Vipers sign Running Back / Defensive Back Andre Spears (55)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of Running Back Andre Spears of Gilbert, AZ.  Andre played high school ball at Buena High in Sierra Vista, AZ and is ready to play his first season in the AzFL.  Andre will be adding speed and depth to our offensive and defensive backfields, and will also use his skills on special teams.

October 29, 2011 - Vipers sign Offensive Guard / Defensive Tackle Geoffery Gaynor (44)
The Vipers Coaching Staff is excited to announce the signing of Offensive and Defensive Lineman Geoffery Gaynor of Phoenix, AZ.  Geoffery played high school ball  in Las Vegas, NV and four seasons of minor league football with the Sin City Saints of the WWFL in Nevada.  Geoffery brings a lot of experience to both sides of the line.  Geoffery is attending Glendale Community College were he will be trying out for their team next year.
