Dr. Dan Hagen DC
Massage Therapy & Chiropractic
Dr. Dan Hagen was with the AzFL when it began in 1995. He arranged to have doctors (DC's) that specialized in Sports Medicine volunteer to be on hand at all the Arizona Football League games.
The doctors soon began adopting teams and were able to build a steady base of patients from these teams. Dr. Hagen moved to Iowa to join with his fathers practice in 1999.
His efforts spurred the interests for many DC's to venture into Sports Medicine and many became active in local schools and other amateur and pro organizations.
Dr. Hagen adopted the Phoenix Black Knights which became the Tempe Warhawks as his team to cover. He not only came to all the local games but traveled with the team to games around the state of Arizona.
The Warhawks played in two State Championship games, one in 1997 and again in 1998. They won in '97. On the roster for the Warhawks were players like Shelby Hill (Former Dallas Cowboys WR) and Barry Waggoner (former Rattlers player) also Steve Swindle (former AFL Milwaukee Mustang)
As a direct result of Dr. Hagen and the other doctors, many players careers were extended and serious injuries were avoided. In his practice in Phoenix, Arizona he treated many of college and pro sports biggest names. He is himself, a black belt in Karate and volunteers his professional time for the Iowa Games.
