He is in the PSU Athletics Hall
of Fame
Part of the extremely talented
inaugural Division I recruiting
class of 1996, Orshawante Bryant
lived up to the billing, setting
10 PSU records as a wide
receiver and kick returner. He
is still Portland State’s
all-time leader in receiving
yards (3,449) and receptions
(223). Bryant was also a
talented kick return man,
sharing the school record for
return average in a season
(29.4).
He ranks fourth all-time at PSU
in all-purpose yards (5,428) and
was named to the All-Big Sky
Conference team three times,
leading the conference in
receiving yards twice. He was
also a star on the first Vikings
team to reach the Division I-AA
Playoffs in 2000, before going
on to a long career in the Arena
Football League. |
